Treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorders

We specialize in treating children with Autism Spectrum disorders.  Our philosophy follows the approach of Sensory Integration and Floortime whereby the therapy is child directed.  We assess the child’s likes and dislikes from their perspective.  Often these children experience the world from a different “point of view” and to first understand the “triggers” of behavior it is best to understand the child.  We engage the child in play that requires adaptive responses from them to achieve a little more each session. The “little more” can be in language skills, eye contact, appropriate play, exploration of the environment or completing simple to complex tasks.  We have seen great progress with many of our children.
